Sunday was a beautiful day. There was a good number in attendance as we assembled to worship God! The gospel meeting with Phil Sanders is just a couple of weeks away. The theme of the meeting is “Jesus, Our Only Hope.” Sin creates a separation between us and God. Jesus is the only one who can eliminate that separation and bring reconciliation between God and us. “That God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (II Corinthians 5:19) Jesus is our only hope! Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. (John 14:6) Jesus is the way to God. In His perfect life and death on the cross, He became the only way to restore our relationship with God. Jesus is the truth from God. He revealed God to us. He revealed God’s redemptive plan to us. Jesus demonstrated God’s plan to deal with our sins by dying on the cross. Jesus is life. Jesus came to be that life giver.

He conquered the ultimate result of sin, death. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you.” (I Peter 1:3-4) Jesus is life in the resurrection to eternal life in heaven. Paul writes, “Looking for the blessed hope and appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us.” (Titus 2:13-14) Sometimes in this fast-paced world we can lose sight of that fact, “Jesus, Our Only Hope.” Let us all continue to invite, invite, and invite as we look forward to our Gospel Meeting! Looking forward to seeing you this Sunday. Let worship this Sunday be a top priority for you and your family. Your Elders
