We express our sympathy to the family of Mattie Tom Ayers who passed away on December 13, 2024, in Columbia, Tennessee, at the age of 90. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Ron) Ayers Pope; Ryan D. (Jennifer) Bates; her sisters, Evelyn (Dan) Thompson, Ila (Jimmy) Jenkins, and Linda (Frank) Warfield; and her brothers, Willie (Nancy) Chessor and Granville (Carmonet Bunch) Chessor. Mattie and her late husband Carl were members of the Centerville Church of Christ for a number of years. Her graveside service was Sunday.
