Registration Begins April 1, 2023!.
Greetings from Camp Meribah! We are looking forward to another great summer of camp in 2023 and wanted to invite you to be a part of Summer Camp 2023, as well as let you know of some expected changes you need to be aware of.
For those of you who may not know Shelby and me, I have been involved with Summer Camp at Meribah for over 20 years, and have spent the past five summers working at Camp Meribah while also serving as the Youth Minister of the Centerville Church of Christ. Shelby has been a lifelong camper as well, as she was a part of a church camp in northern Mississippi until we married in 2014. Shelby works as a 4th-grade teacher at Centerville Intermediate School, and we have two children, Cade (5) and Ansley (2), who love being at camp as well. We look forward to being back with all of our staff and campers, and we have several new additions and changes to camp that you’re sure to love!
Camp Meribah has been a ministry of our congregation since 1969, and we are excited to share another fun summer with you building on the three main pillars of our summer camp…Faith, Fellowship, and Fun!
See you on The Hill!

Day Camp (Ages 4-9)
Mini-Meribah Finished (K – Finished 5th grades)
Youth Week Finished (1st – Finished 5th grades)
Teen Week (Finished 6th – Finished 12th grades)
DAY CAMP is Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 am-3:00 pm each day. Day Campers attend Vacation Bible School at the Centerville Church of Christ, go to the creek and city swimming pool, play on the MacKenDox Playground at Camp Meribah, slide on the slip n-slide, and enjoy many other fun activities. This is a great session to begin with if your child has never attended camp or does not like spending the night away from home.
MINI-MERIBAH is a shorter version of our Youth Week. Campers check-in on Thursday morning and check-out Friday evening. Campers participate in many of the same activities as Youth Week such as team games, creek time, swimming at the city pool, MacKenDox play time, devotionals, and other fun activities. Mini-Meribah is a good transitional session for those campers wishing to spend the night at camp, but perhaps not ready for Youth Week.
YOUTH WEEK is a longer session for campers who are prepared to spend more time away from home. Campers check-in on Sunday afternoon and check-out Friday evening. Youth Week includes team games, arts and crafts, creek time, swimming at the city pool, an optional campout, MacKenDox Block Party, Fireworks by Dud’s, devotionals, skits, Nighttime Scavenger Hunt, and other fun activities.
TEEN WEEK is our most popular session each summer. Campers check-in on Sunday afternoon and check-out Friday evening. Teen Week takes place during the TSSAA Dead Period so that middle and high school athletes do not have to miss practices or other team activities. Teen Week is the highlight of the summer for our campers and is filled with traditional camp activities, as well as many events reserved especially for our Teen Week campers.
SCHOLARSHIPSCamp Meribah offers partial scholarships to those campers who are in need of financial assistance for one session only per camper. We do not offer full scholarships that cover the entire cost of camp, and campers may not receive scholarships for multiple sessions. A minimum $50 non-refundable deposit (per camper, per week) is required for all scholarship applicants for Youth Week and Teen Week, and a $25 non-refundable deposit is required for Day Camp and Mini-Meribah to cover basic camper expenses. The deposit must be received before the camper will be registered, and it will not be refunded in the event of cancellations or no-shows. To request a scholarship, select the correct options during online registration and select the amount of scholarship you are requesting. We will only contact you if we need any additional information. If you DO NOT receive a call, then your scholarship has been approved and you can proceed with normal camp check-in. If you have any questions, you may call Carter Hoover at 931-729-4201.
