Thanks for visiting the Summer Camp website. Summer Camp at Camp Meribah has been a ministry of the Centerville Church of Christ since 1969, allowing children to create friendships and make memories that will last a lifetime. We offer four different sessions based on age or grade level. Below are this summer’s sessions and a short description of each one. We hope you will choose to be a part of Camp Meribah 2021!
Day Camp Ages 4-9
Mini-Meribah Finished K – Finished 5th grades
Youth Week Finished 1st – Finished 5th grades
Teen Week Finished 6th – Finished 12th grades $200
DAY CAMP is Monday-Wednesday from 8:00 am-3:00 pm each day. Day Campers attend Vacation Bible School at the Centerville Church of Christ, go to the creek and city swimming pool, play on the MacKenDox Playground at Camp Meribah, slide on the slip n-slide, and enjoy many other fun activities. This is a great session to begin with if your child has never attended camp or does not like spending the night away from home.
MINI-MERIBAH is a shorter version of our Youth Week. Campers check-in on Thursday morning and check-out Friday evening. Campers participate in many of the same activities as Youth Week such as team games, creek time, swimming at the city pool, MacKenDox play time, devotionals, and other fun activities. Mini-Meribah is a good transitional session for those campers wishing to spend the night at camp, but perhaps not ready for Youth Week.
YOUTH WEEK is a longer session for campers who are prepared to spend more time away from home. Campers check-in on Sunday afternoon and check-out Thursday evening. Youth Week includes team games, arts and crafts, creek time, swimming at the city pool, an optional campout, MacKenDox Block Party, Fireworks by Dud’s, devotionals, skits, Nighttime Scavenger Hunt, and other fun activities.
TEEN WEEK is our most popular session each summer. Campers check-in on Sunday afternoon and check-out Thursday evening. Teen Week always takes place during the TSSAA Dead Period so that middle and high school athletes do not have to miss practices or other team activities. Campers are constantly on-the-go during Teen Week, participating in the traditional camp activities but also going on special trips. In the past, these trips have included Laser Quest, Buffalo River Canoeing, roller skating, Nashville Shores, Nashville Sounds games, bowling, karaoke, Tennessee River tubing, and other surprise activities.
As you can see, there are sessions for children of every age offered at Camp Meribah. If your age or grade level allows you to attend more than one session, we would be glad to have you multiple times. Applications are mailed out in April each year to those who attended summer camp the previous summer. They are also available on this website and the church office. Be sure to turn in your application and deposit as soon as possible because sessions may fill up quickly. If you are interested in working at Camp Meribah, staff applications are available online and in the church office beginning in April. I hope to see you soon at Camp Meribah!
