Our Weekly Bulletin
“God Give Us Christian Homes” is more than the title of a beloved hymn, it’s a heartfelt plea that reflects the deep desire for families to be rooted in God’s truth. The home is seen as the first and most vital place where faith is taught, modeled, and lived. A Christian home is not defined by perfection but by it’s dedication to Christ. It is where God’s Word is honored, prayer is practiced, and love reflects the selflessness of Jesus. Such a home becomes a sanctuary from the world, a place where each member grows in grace and truth.
Christian homes are crucial to the strength of the church and the stability of society. When fathers lead with humility and righteousness, when mothers nurture with wisdom and faith, and when children are taught to walk in obedience to God, the family becomes a powerful witness to the world. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us, “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This training starts at home, with godly parents taking seriously their responsibility to raise their children in the fear of the Lord.
When we ask God to give us Christian homes, we are committing ourselves to be the kind of people who make those homes possible. It’s a call to build our families on the solid foundation of Jesus Christ, to be examples of love, patience, forgiveness, and faith. In a time when worldly values often clash with biblical truth, Christian homes are needed more than ever. May we each strive to make our homes places where God is honored, Christ is followed, and love never fails.
Join us this Sunday as we look into God’s word and see what it means to pray or sing “God Give Us Christian Homes”.
God Bless -Todd
