I hope you have already started on your one soul, one mission individual. Please make that person your priority for this year. We will begin soon, on Sunday evenings, to give you ideas and things that might help you to reach your one. But of all the things you will learn and do there is one thing that you must know. That is to never, never, ever apologize for the truth! Never be sorry for the Gospel and what it stands for. Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, ‘The righteous shall live by faith’” (Romans 1:16-17).

In a world where truth is often compromised for the sake of peace or popularity, Christians must remain steadfast in upholding God’s Word. As members of the Lord’s church, we are called to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15), but that does not mean watering it down or apologizing for it. Jesus never apologized for speaking the truth, even when it offended others. In John 6, after teaching about being the Bread of Life, many of His disciples turned away because His words were difficult to accept (John 6:60, 66). Yet, He did not soften His message to keep them from leaving. Instead, He asked the twelve, “Will you also go away?” (John 6:67). Jesus prioritized truth over popularity. As Christians, we must never apologize for upholding God’s truth. The world may reject or resist it, but our responsibility is to remain faithful. Just as Jesus, the apostles, and faithful Christians throughout history stood firm, we too must stand boldly, proclaiming the gospel without compromise. “Open your eyes and see!” God Bless -Todd
