Sunday, we begin a new preaching series entitled: Who We Are…How We Live. We will spend four weeks taking a fresh look at who we are as believers and who we are as a church. As we listen while the scriptures speak, there should come a re-identification of just who we really are as those who have claimed Jesus as our Savior. There should also come fresh reminders of how our lives should be lived individually and as a body together.
Part of being flesh and blood means that we have to be regularly reminded of things we already know and already believe to be true. We sometimes get stale and forget what is most important and that to which we have been called. This series is designed, not to lecture us, but to encourage us to remember who we are, to think about what we have been given in Christ and to recommit ourselves daily to the mission God has placed before us.
